Tour Logistics

  • Operating Period: Kayaking tours operate all year, weather permitting.
  • Launch Site: Tours depart from the historic Old Harbour in Hermanus.
  • Departure Times: Departure times vary by season.
    • November to April: 8:00, 10:30, and 13:00.
    • May to October: 9:00, 11:30, and 14:00.
    • It is recommended to arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled departure.
  • Duration: The tour typically lasts 2 hours.

What’s Included

  • Experienced Guides: All tours are led by professional guides certified in marine guiding and first aid at sea.
  • Equipment: High-quality, stable, sit-on-top sea kayaks and all necessary safety equipment are provided.
  • Wildlife Encounters: You may encounter Southern Right Whales (in season), dolphins, penguins, seals, and a variety of seabirds.

Booking Details

  • Pricing:
    • R550.00 per person for the standard 2-hour sea kayaking tour.
    • They also offer a “Lagoon Kayak and Wine Tour” for around R450 per person, and a “Sea Kayak and Shark Cage Dive combo” for R2,250 per person.
    • Minimum age is 10 years old for the standard tour.
  • Cancellation Policy:
    • Tours are subject to weather conditions. In the event of excessive wind or swell, trips may be rescheduled or cancelled.

What to Bring:

  • Comfortable clothes that can get wet, a sunhat, sunscreen, and a change of clothes for after the tour.
