What to Expect on Arrival
Your adventure begins at the Great White House, where you’ll be greeted with a warm welcome and served a delicious continental breakfast or hot lunch. While you enjoy your meal, our expert team will conduct a detailed safety briefing and prepare all the necessary gear for your trip, including your wetsuit, booties, life jacket, and a weatherproof jacket to keep you comfortable throughout your experience.
Tour Logistics
- Operating Period: Whale watching season runs from June to December. The company operates Marine Big 5 tours year-round.
- Launch Site: Tours depart from Kleinbaai harbour, near Gansbaai.
- Departure Times: Trip times are weather and tide-dependent and are confirmed the evening before your tour.
- Duration: Tours typically last between 2 and 2.5 hours, depending on sightings and conditions.

Your tour with Marine Dynamics is a premium experience that includes:

- Free Visit: All guests receive a complimentary visit to the African Penguin and Seabird Sanctuary (APSS).
- Onboard Amenities: The custom-built “Dreamcatcher” vessel has two toilets, an observation deck, and provides guests with life jackets and weather jackets.

- Conservation Fee: All prices exclude a R100 conservation fee.
- Payment Options: Cash, VISA, and MasterCard credit cards.
- Cancellation Policy:
- Company Cancellation: Full refund or alternative date offered if the company cancels due to weather, mechanical failure, or safety concerns.
- Customer Cancellation: 100% cancellation fee for cancellations less than 7 days before the trip.
- No-Shows: Billed for the full amount with no refund.
- No Sightings: A non-transferable voucher for an alternative trip is offered.
